Chaotic is tickled-to-death to announce our next production:

Art of Murder by Joe DiPietro

Directed by James Jackson Leach

THE STORY: In a remote estate in the countryside of Connecticut, Jack Brooks, one of the most accomplished and eccentric painters of his generation, awaits the imminent arrival of his art dealer. But the visit is not a standard one, for Jack feels wronged, and he is intending to kill the man. As Jack lays out his intentions for the evening, his wife, Annie, calmly paints. She is reluctant to go along with the plan, until Jack’s threat of violence convinces her otherwise. Harried and annoyed, Vincent, Jack’s flamboyant art dealer, arrives. Will Jack carry out his plan? Will Annie help him? Or is something else going on?

Characters:
Jack Brooks – (Male) a renowned artist, ruggedly handsome, late 20’s early – mid 30’s. 

Annie Brooks – (Female) his wife. Younger than Jack, Late 20’s early 30’s.

Vincent Cummings – (Male) a high-powered, flamboyant art dealer, mid 30’s early 40’s.

Kate – (Female) an Irish immigrant. The Brooks’ maid, 20’s.

Please prepare a dramatic monologue of no more than 1 minute. Bring a theatrical resume and a headshot (if available). Please bring your anticipated schedule through to June 2nd, 2012. No appointment necessary.

Production runs May 17th, 2012 through June 2nd, 2012 at The Vortex. Rehearsals begin April 2nd, and will continue Sunday – Wednesday 7-10pm.
